Although predominantly a Geotechnical and
Materials Consulting Engineering firm, Palmerton & Parrish offers
specialized services, including Drainage and Storm Water
facilities design on projects that complement their geotechnical
activities. These are often for sites which are significantly
impacted by karst- or mine-related features.
As an outgrowth of the storm water
activities, the need to provide general civil site design to
facilitate the siting of building and setting of adequate site
grades in flood-prone areas has been a natural progression of
project development. Palmerton & Parrish concentrates almost
exclusively on projects which have a decided Geotechnical or karst
related storm water facility compontent. The firm is ideally
suited for performing work in and around floodplains. Computer
modeling capabilities include Corps of Engineers (HEC-1, HEC-2,
HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS) and Haestad Methods (Pond Pack and StormCAD)
software.
